how do you write a perfect blog post?

My mom’s drawing teacher said to her, “when you use up a bucket of ink, then you’ll learn how to draw.”

What is a perfect blog post?

Nobody knows that. For everyone it’s different.

For me it’s perfect when it connects with the reader. When it changes him/her in some way.

Should it be long or short? Doesn’t matter.

I’ve read the most profound post by Seth Godin which was only 2 sentences long.

Should it have a catching title?

This type of title is only for strangers. For people who don’t know you and don’t trust you yet. A catchy title draws them in to read the post.

But if you write for people who trust you already, you don’t need this trick.

Your title could have 1 or 2 or 3 words. That’s all. People who are hungry for your ideas will read it anyway.

So how do you write a perfect blog post?

Actually it’s simple: you write a thousand lousy ones.

It’s a practice.

Get your bucket of ink.
