How to grow your organ network without spamming?

Have you received some invitations from Facebook or LinkedIn organists to join their network?

I get them every day. Most of them feel like spam. They are not personal, not relevant. People have not taken the effort to earn my trust. Without trust it turns out to be spam.

There is a better way.

You see, your network value is measured not by how many people are in it but how many connections are between the people in your network.

In other words, it's not as important how many organists do you know (although the more the better) but how many organists know each other through you.

So, make a regular practice of introducing people to each other.

Find two organists who you genuinely believe could benefit from working together, get their permission, introduce them to each other and get out of their way.

Everybody wins.

Introduce just 2 people every day for a year and after 365 days your network will grow exponentially.

You will never have to worry about finding a job or recital opportunities if you do this regularly.

The key is to help people achieve what they want.

The more value you create around you, the more value will back to you.
