I see people making thousands of dollars by promoting their products through social media. I haven't made anything. What am I doing wrong?

It’s a long road.

It takes 7 years to be an overnight success.

Lower your expectations but increase your generosity.

Give, give, give.

Only when you have given 10 times the amount of help to your future customers, only then you will have earned the privilege to ask for a sale.

I don’t know personally what you are doing on social media but let’s assume just for a moment that you are selling products or services.

Buy, buy, buy.

That’s taking, not giving.

Would you buy your product yourself?

You probably would, if you believe in how helpful it could be to people, right?

But perhaps you wouldn’t buy based on the way you communicate your message.

If people aren’t buying, trust level is too low.

So think about how you could increase this trust over time.

Begin to build a list of subscribers who would want to hear from you, who would read your blog. And you do have a blog, right?

It’s a must these days.

Share helpful information in text, photos, audio, or video.

Generosity is the key, of course.

Hope this helps.
