Our little hedgehog Spiky
Has very envious heart That’s why when he sees Pinky Exciting doing things He also needs to try them Unless it’s daily chores. And so one Sunday morning On cold and white December our piglet decorated The house with bloody holly. She put them on a staircase To shine with green and red. Then Spiky also wanted To decorate with holly But since he didn’t have it He needed now to think. And thinking isn’t strength That is on hedgehog’s list. So seeing Victor sleeping In darkest house’s corner He grabbed him and then fasted Around the second staircase. But Victor kept on sleeping Because he loves the dark. Then Betsy flew and wondered What is the hedgehog doing And Spiky said, “Come closer, I’ll show you pretty ring.” He tricked her and he put her Beside where Victor was. Now Dietrich was too curious And came to check the turmoil But being rather slow He ended up like others. “Release me!” screamed he madly, “Or I’ll become giraffe…” At last Cornelius discovered Where all his friends where hanging So flew he to the rescue But Spiky took his wings And fastened them with rope. Poor Cardinal exclaimed: “You think I want to be Your Christmas decoration? I want to fly around While pooping everywhere…” But Spiky was cold-hearted And carried on his plan. Then Pinky sitting focused And solving Sudoku puzzle Felt suddenly the quiet In first floor living room. She lifted up her head But no one was around. So piglet walked while looking For Spiky and the others Until she climbed upstairs And saw the pretty scene. “What’s happening?” she asked And Spiky was ashamed. Immediately he freed His friends from staircase And everyone was happy But Victor still was grumpy Because he like it there. He said, “I want to stay.” It’s hard to make him smile Because his flies are sleeping. And he is rather hungry Throughout this time of year. The only thing that worked Was Pinky’s wisest promise To let him be the star On top of Christmas tree. “Your flies will worship you”, They’ll say, ‘please master eat us’” Said Pinky to the spider And Victor yelled, “hooray!” Vidas Pinkevicius https://amazon.com/author/vidaspinkevicius https://makersplace.com/store/vidaspinkevicius https://www.patreon.com/pinkyandspiky
