What are some things you should always do for yourself, and never let other people do for you?4/17/2017 Never outsource creativity.
First thing in the morning when I wake up. I ask myself this question: What will I create today? Actually that’s not true, I think about this before I go to sleep the night before. But this is on a good day, of course. On a bad day, I react to emergencies to keep me busy, put out fires of other people who are operating in the resistance mode. Basically stomping roaches. But on a good day (and I’m trying every day to create more opportunities like this for myself) I create. I create in text, pictures, audio and video. And share. Sometimes I create for people to freely use my ideas. Sometimes I ask money in return. It doesn’t matter. The principal is the same. I will never give this power to create to anybody else. Sure, other things we can outsource, like technical things, like paperwork, like doing some maintenance or setting up systems for automation or scaling. But here’s the rule to live by if you want: If you can tell somebody what to do next, outsource or delegate. It’s always cheaper and faster than doing it yourself. If you have to figure out what to do next, do it yourself. Your creativity can’t be replaced. Let me know if this helps.
